Joel Cage's blog

Hello and welcome. My name’s Joel and I’m a designer currently working for the award winning, nationwide Jupiter Design based in Nottingham. An all rounder – I create solutions to the problem whether it's print or digital. I specialise in simplistic design that communicates effectively. My passions are in typography, icon design and branding. Design – I eat, sleep and breath it.

  2. KELLOGG’S TURN BACK TIME

I’m loving the packaging re-design Kellogg’s have put out to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee. Inspired by 1950’s design, Kellogg’s have made their cereal boxes all retro, and it looks great. Simple typography combined with naive illustrations of their relevant mascots - Tony the Tiger looks year’s younger (probably Botox)!

  5. Fab.com Flash Sale: oh my word Limited quantity.Fab.comWriter and creative director Leslie Kolk doesn’t mince words—her blunt, thought-provoking style made Kenneth Cole’s advertising almost instantly-recognizable. Her irresistible line of greeting cards, oh my word, elevates that tradition with catty, hilariously funny copy—that says exactly what you’re really thinking.

I’ll play all night, hey don’t get uptight.
I lead all your mind games astray.
Well I’ll see you around, I’ll see you around,
I’ll play all night, hey don’t get uptight.
See you, so long, goodbye, hooray."
